Sponsorship Policy

  1. All sponsorships, advertisements, and commercially sponsored publications are independent of editorial decisions. Merge Medical serves as a platform for raising awareness and providing education and does not endorse any product or service identified as an advertisement or promoted by a sponsor. Editorial content remains unaffected by commercial or financial interests or any specific arrangements with advertising clients or sponsors.
  2.  Sponsorships or advertisements must not be deceptive or misleading and should be verifiable. Advertisements should clearly indicate the sponsor or advertiser and the product or service being offered. Advertisements that are found to be exaggerated, indecent, offensive, or related to political, racial, religious, or sexual orientation matters will not be permitted.
  3. Merge Medical reserves the right to reject any sponsorship or advertising that could harm the Merge Medical brand or is inconsistent with the content featured on the Merge Medical website.
  4. Merge Medical will not accept sponsorship or advertising for products or services known to be detrimental to health.
  5. Editorial decisions or invitations to participate in the Merge Medical Podcast will not be influenced by existing or potential sponsors and advertisers. The Merge Medical forum community will vote on start-up and growth stage companies, determining the list of companies invited to participate in the podcast series. In other words, the purchase of a Merge Medical sponsorship does not influence or determine whether a company or entity is invited to participate in the Merge Medical podcast series.
  6. Editorial decisions will remain unaffected by marketing decisions. Advertisers and sponsors have no control or influence over the search results a user may obtain on the website based on keywords or search topics.
  7. Advertisements and editorial content must be clearly distinguishable. Sponsored supplements should be clearly labeled as “advertorial.”
  8. We collaborate with third-party advertising companies to display ads and/or collect certain information when you visit our website. These companies may use cookies or web beacons to gather non-personally identifiable information [excluding your name, address, email address, or telephone number] during your visit to this website to display advertisements on other websites that are likely to be of interest to you. To learn more about this practice of “behavioral advertising” or to opt-out of the use of your anonymous information, you can visit this page.

You may opt out of much interest-based advertising on third party sites and through third party ad networks (including Google AdSense):
