Dr. Nishant Shah currently practices anesthesiology in the Chicagoland area. After a residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center he went on to complete a fellowship in Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine at the University of California at Irvine Medical Center. Early in his career, he started a CME education company which combined his interests in teaching and entrepreneurship. His passion for entrepreneurship continued when he helped to develop a proprietary algorithm that he sold to a medical device company for whom he also consults. That is one of the many companies he has consulted for along the way. Most recently, he has added real estate education and investing to his personal portfolio. His mission is to spread awareness to other physicians of the broad array of opportunities present to each one of them.
Why I’m excited to help build Merge Medical:
“As we grow our physician community, we will enable other physicians to participate in the many different areas of investing and innovating while also educating themselves. The goal here is to allow every physician a sense of empowerment that allows them to practice medicine and participate in other activities that enrich their lives. The dead end mentality and sense of doom that persists now more than ever will be a thing of the past.”
